Padel racket buying guide

Four things decide how a racket plays: your level, its shape, its weight and what the face is made of. Get those right and the brand matters far less.

Your level

New to padel, or playing once a week? Choose a forgiving racket: a round or teardrop shape with a softer face. Regular players can move to a teardrop or hybrid for more power. Diamond rackets suit advanced players who finish points at the net. Browse beginner, intermediate and advanced padel rackets.

Shape

  • Round: the balance sits near the handle and the sweet spot is the largest, so round rackets are the easiest to control. Round padel rackets
  • Teardrop and hybrid: the balance sits in the middle, mixing power and control for all-round players. Teardrop and hybrid padel rackets
  • Diamond: the balance sits towards the head for powerful smashes, but the sweet spot is smaller and off-centre hits are punished. Diamond padel rackets

Weight

Most of our rackets weigh between 355 and 375 g. Lighter models, often labelled Light, Lite or W, are quicker to swing and easier on the arm. Heavier rackets add stability and power but tire the arm sooner. If in doubt, stay in the middle of the range.

Face material

Fibreglass faces are softer and more flexible, so the ball leaves the racket easily, which helps while you learn. Every racket we stock under AED 600 has a fibreglass face. Carbon faces are stiffer: they give more control and last longer, but you supply more of the power. The number in 3K, 12K or 18K carbon is how many thousand filaments make up each strand of the weave. It changes the feel; it isn't a quality score. Browse fibreglass and carbon padel rackets.

Padel racket FAQs

What is the price of a padel racket in the UAE?

At Padel Point, padel rackets cost from AED 295 to AED 1,690. Beginner-friendly fibreglass rackets cost under AED 600, most carbon rackets for regular players cost AED 600โ€“1,000, and the latest pro and 2027 models cost AED 1,000 or more. Delivery is free on orders over AED 300.

How much should I pay for a padel racket?

It depends on how often you play. If you're starting out or play casually, you don't need to spend more than about AED 600: a forgiving fibreglass racket will help you more than a stiff pro model. If you play every week, AED 600โ€“1,000 buys a carbon racket with more control and a longer life. Spend over AED 1,000 when you want a specific pro model or the newest release.

Where is the best place to buy a padel racket in the UAE?

Buy from a specialist that sells original rackets, shows clear AED prices and explains delivery, returns and warranty before you pay. Padel Point is a UAE-registered padel specialist. Every racket is 100% original and covered by the brand's warranty, we deliver to all seven emirates (free on orders over AED 300), and you can pay by card or cash on delivery. Questions? Message us on WhatsApp.

Which brand is best for a padel racket?

No brand is best for everyone: the right racket depends on your level, the shape you like and your budget. NOX and Bullpadel have the most models at Padel Point, followed by Adidas, HEAD, Babolat and Siux, with Oxdog and Wilson too. Top players' signature rackets are here as well, such as Agustรญn Tapia's NOX AT10 range and Ale Galรกn's Adidas Metalbone Pro EDT.

How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?

Delivery costs AED 25 and is free on orders over AED 300. In Dubai, Next-Day Delivery arrives the next working day; the other six emirates get delivery in 1โ€“2 working days. Need it today in Dubai? Same-Day Delivery (order before 10am, Monday to Friday) costs AED 40, or is free over AED 300, and arrives by 11pm. Express Same-Day (order 10amโ€“4pm Monday to Friday, or before 11am on Saturday) costs AED 45 and arrives within 3โ€“4 hours. There's no same-day delivery on Sundays.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes. Cash on delivery is available across the UAE: you pay in cash when your order arrives, with no extra fee. You can also pay online by credit or debit card at checkout. Your total, including any delivery charge, is shown before you confirm the order.

Can I return a padel racket, and is there a warranty?

You can return a racket within 7 days of receipt if the packaging hasn't been opened, or if it arrived damaged or isn't what you ordered. Contact us with your order number, then send it back in its original packaging by registered courier, and we refund the racket's price to your original payment method. Delivery charges aren't refunded. Manufacturing defects are covered by the brand's warranty for 3โ€“6 months, depending on the brand.

How do I choose the right weight and shape?

Start with the shape. Round rackets are the most forgiving and easiest to control, teardrop and hybrid shapes mix power and control, and diamond rackets add power for smashes but have a smaller sweet spot. Most of our rackets weigh 355โ€“375 g: lighter ones are quicker and easier on the arm, heavier ones add stability. Still unsure? RacketBot suggests rackets that suit your game.
